My Amazing Grandmother

My grandmother, Joan Leonhart from my father’s side of the family, was a strongwilled and courageous person. Unfortunately, she died before I was born, but I have heard amazing stories about her. For instance, she was a single mother with three kids, and she made that they were properly dressed, cleaned correctly and were on time and in the right place. Perhaps you would like to hear another story about how she moved from place to place. You see, my grandmother was married and divorced at an early age. When she was married she lived in Florida and when she was divorced she moved back up here, to West Virginia. I still do not know why, maybe she missed the mountains and the hills, but on the other hand maybe she just wanted to get away from my grandpa. My last story is a sad one, it is about how my granadma’s life ended. You see my grandma had extremely bad cancer. There was no way to get rid of it. The last picture we have of her is from my mom and dad’s wedding.
